EXTERIOR INSPECTION

  • This includes a walk around the building in search of any defects on the outside foundation.

  • While outside, the sidewalks, driveway, porches and decks are also examined.

  • Determine the grading of the surrounding land.

  • The inspector will consider factors to determine if it is safe to access the roof. If the roof is not accessible, they will use binoculars to examine such as flashing, covering, chimney and gutters.

INTERIOR INSPECTION

  • Ceilings, walls and floors will be examined in every room.

  • The inspectors will make sure that all windows and doors function properly.

  • We will ensure that there are no leaks within the plumbing components, as well as make sure there is proper water pressure.

  • All electrical components will be checked and tested.

  • The foundation, floor joist, furnace, and all other aspects of the basement will be checked.

  • If possible, we will enter the attic to verify that the insulation and roof deck meet the requirements.
